This Cinco de Mayo, drinks weren't the only thing we were mixin’ up! We hosted three companies for a Startup Roundtable presentation.
On Wednesday, May 5, HealthIT folks joined us virtually for a conversation with A.T. Gimbel, Partner at Atlanta Ventures, and startup founders of Allera, Skintelligent, and Reframe.
These Meetups are part of an ongoing series of talks about Healthcare in Atlanta, with an objective of making Atlanta the premier place to start and grow a HealthIT business. The goal of these meetups is to facilitate connections, hear from industry professionals, and truly dig deeper into Healthcare problems that Atlanta entrepreneurs can help solve.

The morning kicked off with about 50 entrepreneurs diving into breakout room sessions. Here, they discussed the question: “What is one current challenge you are actively trying to solve?, as well as other current industry trends. Next, A.T. Gimbel guided us through startup presentations and Q&A.
Here's a quick overview of each presenting Startup:
Paddy McNamara shared about Allera. Allera is the world's simplest food allergen detection device. Point. Scan. Detect. It's currently detecting peanut allergies and will expand as developed. We discussed data, AI, and how Allera is planning to launch their beta soon.
The Skintelligent team, Eleanor Jones & Vinod Kumar, joined to discuss all things intelligent skin health. The team has developed multiple AI Skin Diagnostic Solutions, all in partnership with dermatologists and deep learning experts.
Founders Vedant Pradeep and Ziyi Gao have built Reframe to help people build healthier drinking habits. The app helps users use neuroscience to reframe their relationship with alcohol and unlock the healthiest, happiest self.
