This Wednesday, November 16, 40+ entrepreneurs joined us on Zoom for an insightful morning event! This Healthcare Entrepreneurs Meetup was not one to miss: HealthIT folks joined A.T. Gimbel and four talented founders to discuss how they started, future goals, and startup introductions.
These Meetups are part of an ongoing series of talks about Healthcare in Atlanta, with an objective of making Atlanta the premier place to start and grow a HealthIT business. The goal of these meetups is to facilitate connections, hear from industry professionals, and truly dig deeper into Healthcare problems that Atlanta entrepreneurs can help solve.

We kicked off the morning with enthusiastic entrepreneurs participating in a good ol’ fashioned Zoom Breakout Room networking session. Attendees discussed “What is one thing left to accomplish before the end of the year.” It was a quick opportunity to connect with new faces and reconnect with familiar ones before we dove into event.

Happytalks is on a mission to end loneliness. Loneliness is a health crisis: elderly people are projected to double by 2040 and with busy families and stressed healthcare, Happy Talks is there to call to seniors. It can report back to maintain mental wellbeing, with easy access and full privacy from trained coaches. Happy talk provides an engagement network with elderly adults to impact health outcomes and enhance provider care.
InovCares believes in connecting women of color to culturally sensitive providers- providers. These trainers have gone through extensive training for an important reason: they are tackling the fact that millions of women live in a maternity care desert, with little to no access to care. InovCares works to make sure these women of color have access to proper medicine, trained professionals, and video conferences for immediate services. Free access for health assessment, with AI learning to gain information about patient risk factors.
'Gait' is the analytic observation of how we walk. It is a great indicator for health in different populations, as it can gleam insight onto many subtle issues. But most Gait analysis is entirely done through visual indicators, making it a very subjective analysis. With the increase in health watches like Fitbit and Apple Watch, objective cardiovascular is becoming accessible, but Gait is still not observed. With a Gait-tracking sensor, Stridelink tracks many different metrics over time to achieve treatment efficiency: Abnormalities can be pointed out and fixed much faster, without questions.
